Building Momentum: Polk County Tigers Preseason Conditioning Continues to Grow
The excitement surrounding Polk County Tigers Pop Warner continues to build as our preseason conditioning program gains momentum week after week.
What began on February 25 at Boone Middle School with a handful of dedicated athletes has steadily grown into a thriving group of young football players and cheerleaders committed to improving themselves both on and off the field. Every week, we’ve welcomed new faces, watched friendships form, and seen our athletes gain confidence as they work hard to prepare for the upcoming season.
As our numbers continued to grow, we made the move to Alta Vista Elementary in April, where we are proud to call home for the 2026 season. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Alta Vista and appreciate their support in helping us create a positive environment for the youth of our community.
Preseason conditioning has been about much more than physical training. Our athletes are learning the importance of discipline, teamwork, respect, accountability, and perseverance. Whether they’re running drills, building endurance, practicing fundamentals, or encouraging one another through challenges, they are developing skills that will benefit them long after the season ends.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been watching our Tiger family grow. Parents, coaches, volunteers, and athletes have come together to build something special for Polk County. The increasing turnout each week is a testament to the excitement surrounding Pop Warner football and cheer in our community.
While we’re proud of how far we’ve come, we’re just getting started. As we continue preparing for our inaugural season, we remain focused on providing a safe, structured, and positive experience where young athletes can grow as competitors, students, and leaders.
